Return Policy

 

Note: By using this site and ordering product from LightSoSoft, you are agreeing to be bound by the following policies, subject to applicable law.
Prior to returning any item to LightSoSoft, you must contact us via e-mail to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. Any item returned to us must have the appropriate RMA number written clearly and legibly on the shipping box.
RMAs remain valid for 7 days after the date the number is issued.
 

New, Unopened Items (retail purchase)

Any New, Unopened item may be returned to us at the buyer's expense within 30 days of the date of purchase for a full refund of the purchase price (not including original shipping).

An item which is still sealed in its original packaging, and still has:

  • All protective seals (either from original manufacturer or added by LightSoSoft) intact
  • All items originally received from LightSoSoft, including (but not limited to):
    • Batteries
    • Covers
    • Manuals
    • Accessories
  • No usage indicated on any applicable counters or meters
is considered to be a New, Unopened item. Items not meeting all of the above-listed criteria are generally considered Used, Opened.
 

Used, Opened Items (retail purchase, non-defective)

A Used, Opened item may be returned to us at the buyer's expense within 14 days of the date of purchase for a full refund of the purchase price (not including original shipping), minus a restocking fee.

An item which still has its original packaging, and has:

  • No visible damage to product
  • No visible damage to packaging
  • No visible damage to included items
  • All items originally received from LightSoSoft, including (but not limited to):
    • Batteries
    • Covers
    • Manuals
    • Accessories
is considered to be a Used, Opened item.

The amount of the restocking fee is determined solely at our discretion, and is based directly upon the level of wear on the item, its packaging, and the condition of the items that came with it. If any of these is missing or too damaged for resale, the restocking fee will be increased by the current average market value of the items in question.

NO returns or exchanges on Used, Opened items will be accepted without the original product packaging. Damaged or otherwise unusable product packaging will result in the voiding of the RMA for the return.
 

Faulty When Received

While it is unlikely that you will receive damaged or non-functional product from us, in the event that you do, you may return it within 7 days of item receipt for a complete refund. In the case of manufacturer fault, we will gladly exchange the item for a replacement at no charge to you.
We will not be held liable for the repair or exchange of any damaged or defective units after 7 days from the date of purchase.
 

Volume-Purchased Items

All volume-discounted sales are final unless the product is defective.
We will not be held liable for the repair or exchange of any damaged or defective units discounted by volume after 7 days from the date of purchase.
Any volume-discounted item returned to us which is tested and found to be undamaged will be subject to a minimum 15% restocking fee.
Items Sold "As-Is"
The sale of any item which is labeled "As-Is" on our site is final.
If the product does not arrive in the condition described in the product listing, or unless the product does not function as described in the product listing, it may be returned for repair or be exchanged for an identical item, at our discretion.
We will not be held liable for the repair or exchange of any damaged or defective units sold "As-Is" after 7 days from the date of purchase.
 

Custom or "One-of-a-Kind" Items

The sale of any item which is custom-designed for a particular customer or otherwise "one-of-a-kind" is final.
If the product does not arrive in a functional condition or as described in the product listing, it may be returned for repair.
We will not be held liable for the repair or exchange of any damaged or defective custom-designed or "one-of-a-kind" after 7 days from the date of purchase.
 

Other Terms and Conditions

Any shipping and handling fees on customer orders are non-refundable, except when a product is received in a damaged or non-functional state.
Please be sure to request signature confirmation and shipping insurance on all products returned to us, for your protection, in case the product is lost in transit or after it arrives at our facility.
All returned items must be enclosed and packed in a box considered appropriate for shipping. Any items returned to us enclosed only in their original packaging will be refused upon receipt.
