Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What do I need in order to make this unit work?

A: You need to:
  • Install the USB driver for the FTD chip, which we provide
  • Connect the unit to your computer via USB
    • If the USB port you choose is unable to provide 500mA, you will also need to bring power in via a 7.5-9V wall transformer with a 2.1mm DIN
    • Typically any USB port on your motherboard or on a USB hub with an external power source can provide 500mA

You will then be able to use our custom-written LabView VI (virtual instrument) to interact with the unit on LabView v7 and greater.
